Bleeding Glacier in Antartic
Show Stoppa!

The Apollo Theater was thick, not only with people, but with the anticipation of the upcoming performances. I felt the anticipation as people buzzed with glee while looking for their seats, and jouking to the bass-line of “Let’s Get it On” and “Dirty Diana.” I stepped out on stage to rip it…..silence. I looked onto the audience, it was a cloud of fog with hundreds of faint faces buried within it. That’s when the band played the first 5 notes and my voice filled the room with the melody of “This Woman’s Work.” The crowed roared with excitement and I truly witnessed just how much power and ability the hands of music could form human clay into whatever it so chooses.
My View

I finally arrived to the cornerstone of musical greats. I sat in the exact same green room as James Brown, Ella Fitzgerald and Michael Jackson. Soon after leaving the green room, I entered into a warm, dark but peaceful auditorium filled with red seats and big stage thinking to myself “Wow, I can now say, I stood where they stood.” As I walked on stage to rehearse my show, and belted out my first note of my song among fellow contestants, I heard a pin drop and knew right at that moment, I am smack-dab where i’m supposed to be.
Concrete Jungle
Jay-Z and Alicia Keys said it precisely. New York. Concrete jungle where dreams are made of, there’s nothing you can’t do. I love this city.
As soon as I walked in the beautiful art museum, I saw statues staring at me as if I was standing in the desert of Egypt. The artifacts and tombstones were made of gorgeous marble and granite carved to perfection and extreme clarity, and detail.
I was amused by the beautiful white snowdrops in the air and dirty slush on the streets. I was at home instantaneously became a New Yorker. This is my kind of place. Whew hoo! Gotta get there again…and soon.
